1. What is the turnaround time for my new counter tops?
Typically from the measure (template) date to the install date there is a 2 to 3 day turnaround period.
2. Are there special cleaning requirements for granite and quartz countertops?
Maintenance of granite and quartz surfaces is eary. For daily cleaning, a non-abrasive diswashing liquid is recommended. Although granite is very solid and nearly non-porous, spills left on the surfaces for an extended time period may leave some residual staining-even if sealed properly. Most stains usually dissipate over time on their own. If immediate removal is desired, a stain-lifting poultice powder can be used.
3. Will I be able to hand-pick my slabs?
Yes, you can hand-pick the exact granite or Mable slabs used for your counter tops, either from our local inventory, remnants, or at one of our local slab suppliers. Quartz surfaces are very consistent in color and texture and are ordered directly from the samples.
4. What is a remnant?
Remnants are small pieces typically left over from previous projects. These pieces offer a great solution for those who are planning a small project such as a bath vanity, fireplace surround, or table top. They are sold at a substantial savings with the advantage of not having to buy an entire slab.
5. Do I need to remove my existing countertops?
Your kitchen needs to be ready for us to measure (template) and install your new countertops. Demolition is another job entirely. You can have them removed before, or we can remove and dispose of your old countertops for you for a small fee.
6. My sample of granite has pits on the surface — will I have these on my kitchen counters?
Granite, which is crystalline in structure, always has tiny pits- spaces between the various mineral crystals. You don’t see them on a larger piece because of the overall appearance is polished and mirror-like. Granite sometimes has natural fissures as well, which may look like cracks, but are not structural defects and are naturally occurring result of the immense heat and pressure which formed the granite long ago. These characteristics are part of the natural beauty of stone and will not impair the function or durability of the material. A product of nature cannot be expected to look man-made.
7. Will you re-connect my plumbing and electrical connections?
Blue Coral Stoneworks is a highly trained and licensed fabricator for countertops, but we are not electricians or plumbers.  We can not assume any liability for making electrical, gas, or plumbing connections.
